Equine Direct Black Salt is a simple and convenient way to add essential salt to your horse or pony’s daily diet.

Salt provides sodium and chloride—important electrolytes that support normal hydration, fluid balance, nerve function and muscle function. Horses naturally lose salt through sweating, particularly during warm weather, exercise, travelling and competition.

Black salt is also traditionally fed by horse owners to support general wellbeing and help soothe itchy skin.

Our fine granules are easy to measure and mix into your horse’s usual feed.
